Every day someone books a bikini wax and then asks at the front desk whether they should have booked a Brazilian instead. So here is the whole menu, explained the way we explain it in the room.
Bikini line
The bikini line wax removes hair outside the lines of a standard bikini bottom: the sides and a little across the top. Nothing in the front, nothing in the back. It is the quickest and least intense option, and it is one of the three services new guests can get free on their first visit. At Reveal a bikini line wax is $49.95, or $29.95 for members.
French bikini
Think of the French as a bikini line plus more off the top and front, leaving a neat strip or triangle in the front. It does not include the back. If you want a cleaner look than a bikini line but are not ready to go all the way, this is the one. $69.95, or $44.95 for members.
Brazilian
The Brazilian removes everything from front to back, including the labia and the backside. You can keep a small strip or triangle in the front if you like, just tell your Esthetician when you sit down. It is the most popular service at both of our studios, and once guests try it they rarely go back to anything else. $79.95, or $54.95 for members.
Services with a (V) on our wax menu are the prices above. The (P) versions of the same three services are for male guests and priced at $79.95, $89.95, and $99.95, with member pricing on all three. Male bikini services are available with select Estheticians, so please call the studio before booking.
Which one should I book first?
If you are brand new to waxing and nervous, start with the bikini line. It is free on your first visit and it lets you feel what waxing is like on a small area. If you already know you want smooth skin everywhere, go straight to the Brazilian. Starting with the full service means every wax after it is on finer, sparser hair, which is exactly what you want. There is no prize for working your way up.
How long does it take, and how often?
A bikini line takes about 15 minutes. A French is 15 to 20. A Brazilian is about 30 minutes, including the few minutes we spend checking the area and cleaning up strays. For all three, come back every four to six weeks. On a regular schedule the hair grows in thinner and the appointments get faster and more comfortable each time.
Does a Brazilian hurt more than a bikini wax?
There is more area, so yes, a little. But the wax is the same gentle soft wax, the Esthetician is the same, and the sting on each strip lasts a couple of seconds. Most guests are surprised that the whole thing is over so fast. Our pre-wax guide has the small things that make it easier: hair about a grain of rice long, no shaving for two weeks, loose clothing, and no lotion that day.
Two studios, one price list
Bikini, French, and Brazilian waxing are the same price at Reveal Bartram Park and Reveal Beach Blvd, and your Wax Membership works at both plus RE Spa in Julington Creek. Book online and pick the studio closest to you.
